Campus Scholarships

Zealous is pleased to offer scholarships for our sixth year in 2023-24. These scholarships are easy to apply for yet require thoughtful student responses. Parents are not to complete the scholarship application, yet family conversations about the questions are encouraged before the student completes the application. Apply at the button below.

Process:

Zealous has experimented with needs-based scholarship assessments through third party platforms that assess tax information to determine need. This had many positive attributes for our school community and allowed for a broader admissions reach. Unfortunately, it also created significant reliance on the annual generosity of several local and regional donors.  After COVID, Zealous was not able to regain the largest of these scholarship gifts which resulted in a significant transfer of funds from our general fund to our scholarship fund, to cover on the scholarship promises we made to families.

Because of the destabilizing impact these large scholarship donations can have on our overall budgets, we have elected to offer a simple scholarship of $500 to any applicant interested in pursuing one. In future years we hope to connect inspired scholarship donors to a student non-specific fund that maintains a designated minimum balance with a three year horizon, depending on the grade of the child.
